Procurement Technician - Heart & Lung Transplant
DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Division Administrator, the primary responsibility of the Hospital Lab Technician II is on-call preservation and procurement of cadaveric donor organs for transplant. The HLTII verifies donor and recipient medical information to ensure compatibility of organs and tissues, reviewing donor charts to confirm consent, medical/social history, and pertinent clinical information. The HLT II must complete intraoperative charts, operative reports, and label specimens in accordance with UCLA and UNOS policies, CMS regulations, and HIPAA.
