The competent Registered Nurse (RN) has mastered basic technical and organizational nursing skills within an inpatient setting. He or she is skilled in evaluating patient responses and uses past experiences in providing care. Patients and families are viewed holistically, there is a focus on outcomes, and care is delivered using a systematic approach. The competent Registered Nurse (RN) is able to make decisions guided by limited experience, as well as policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. He or she consults with other members of the healthcare team when necessary. At the competent level, the RN can comfortably care for patients in his or her clinical area.

The ICU is a 42-bed unit that treats and manages patients with serious or life-threatening illnesses and injuries. We care for a wide variety of Medical conditions and Surgical ICU patients. We have a very robust Cardiac surgical program caring for Open Heart, IABP, IMPELLA, and STEMI's. Along with specially services such as CRRT, TTM, Trauma and TPE, YRMC is an accredited Stroke and Bariatric center. The ICU team members work closely with the interdisciplinary team, such as intensivists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and social workers, in providing well-rounded care. We provide a very robust preceptor and education programs to give you the opportunity to enhance and advance your clinical career.

RN II - ICU Minimum Requirements:

*Arizona or compact state RN License

*BLS & Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification(s) from the American Heart Association

*Computer proficiency (must be able to pass computer proficiency assessment)

RN II - ICU Preferred Qualifications:

*Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems

RN II - ICU Work Schedule: 12-hours, Varied Shifts, Varied Days
